Popular Nigerian YouTuber and filmmaker, Tayo Aina, has shared an unforgettable moment with music superstar Davido that left a lasting impression on him — not because of music or fame, but because of character.
Tayo recounted the incident in a recent post on social media. While on a filming trip to Botswana with Davido and the 30BG crew, Tayo was stranded outside after a shoot, trying to get an Uber. The sprinter bus carrying Davido and his team was already full and about to drive off.
But then something unexpected happened.
Davido noticed him.
Despite the bus being packed, the singer told the driver to stop. He opened the door and asked everyone inside to shift — just to make space for Tayo.
“He probably doesn’t even remember,” Tayo tweeted. “But it left a very strong impression on me. If na normal guys sef, they would leave me to go and find Uber, talk less of a superstar.”
Tayo emphasized that this simple gesture spoke volumes about Davido’s humility. “It’s easy to be humble when you have nothing. Much harder when you have everything,” he said.
Fans across social media have praised the singer for this rare act of thoughtfulness, showing that fame hasn’t clouded his humanity.
Shoutout to Davido — for showing that being a real one means more than being a superstar.
