The suspect had been caught while refueling the stolen motorcycle and handed over to security forces.

In retaliation, the gang launched a deadly raid, killing three villagers, but were met with fierce resistance from security forces and vigilantes. Reports confirm that many bandits were killed, with two captured alive.

Local lawmaker Alhaji Sa’idu Ibrahim confirmed that four dead bandits were recovered, though more casualties were likely taken away by their fleeing associates. Attempts to obtain a police statement were unsuccessful.
