President Tinubu addresses Maiduguri flood disaster, pledges federal aid and calls for evacuation of affected residents.
President Bola Tinubu has expressed grave concern over the devastating flood that hit Maiduguri, Borno State, displacing thousands and damaging critical infrastructure, including the Post Office and Maiduguri Teaching Hospital.
In a statement by Special Adviser Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu extended condolences to affected families, especially those who lost their livelihoods due to the overflow of the Alau Dam.

The President ordered the immediate evacuation of residents from flood-hit areas and directed the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to assist victims.
Tinubu assured Governor Babagana Zulum of the Federal Government's commitment to mobilize resources to meet the urgent humanitarian needs of the state.
