Ethiopia Bus Accident Kills 28, Rescue Efforts Ongoing in Wolaita Region

A bus crash in Wolaita, Ethiopia, killed 28 and injured 19 others. Rescue operations are ongoing as authorities investigate the tragic accident.

A tragic bus accident in southern Ethiopia’s Wolaita region left at least 28 people dead and 19 others critically injured after the vehicle swerved off the road and plunged into a river. 

The accident occurred approximately 400 kilometers from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia’s capital. 

Authorities are still investigating the cause and have launched a search operation to recover any missing passengers. 

Images from the scene showed the bus severely damaged, resting at the bottom of a steep slope.
