Egypt and Germany Discuss Gaza Crisis, Urge International Action During Bilateral Talks

Egypt and Germany discuss the Gaza conflict and call for European intervention as humanitarian crisis worsens, bilateral cooperation strengthened.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi welcomed his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier to Cairo, marking the first visit of a German president to Egypt in almost 25 years. 

The leaders discussed the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, where over 40,000 people, including women and children, have lost their lives.

El-Sissi urged Europe to apply more pressure on Israel to bring about peace, while both countries reiterated the importance of bilateral cooperation. 

The Gaza war, now in its 11th month, has displaced nearly 90% of Gaza's population and remains a focal point in international diplomacy.
