EPL: Chelsea’s Rudiger emerges fastest player in Premier League [Top 5]




Chelsea defender, Antonio Rudiger has emerged the fastest player in the Premier League this season.


The Germany International beat competition from the likes of Mohamed Salah and Adama Traore to clock the fastest speed.


Rudiger has been in top form for the Blues this season despite the uncertainty on his future at the club.


The German has played 26 of Chelsea’s 28 Premier League games this season, keeping 12 clean sheets and scoring twice, as well as producing two assists.


But according to OptaJoe, Rudiger can certainly shift, having clocked the highest speed of the season during a clash against Brighton.


He knocked up a speed of 36.7km/h, a fraction quicker than Salah and Traore, who have been measured going at 36.6km/h.


And behind them is another Reds player, Ibrahima Konate who recorded a speed of 36.2 km/h.


Aston Villa striker, Ollie Watkins and Leicester forward, Patson Daka then make up the remainder of the list with a speed of 36.1 km/h.
