The portal waecdirect and search queries for the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) are trending across Nigeria following the official release of the 2026 Computer-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (CB-WASSCE) results for school candidates on August 5, 2026.
- Overall Performance & Pass Rate: Out of 1,950,726 candidates who sat for the examination, 1,200,514 candidates (61.54%) secured credit passes and above in a minimum of five subjects, including English Language and Mathematics. Head of National Office, Dr. Amos Josiah Dangut, noted this represents a 1.42 percentage point decline compared to the 2025 pass rate.
