United States President Donald Trump has announced that a highly coordinated counterterrorism operation conducted by American forces and the Nigerian Armed Forces has successfully eliminated Abu-Bilal al-Minuki.
The high-profile target was widely recognized as the global second-in-command of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
The strategic mission was the culmination of months of intense intelligence sharing, surveillance tracking, and tactical planning aimed at neutralising the core leadership of the terrorist network operating within the African continent.
According to American officials, al-Minuki was actively directing cross-border insurgencies, funding regional networks, and orchestrating hostile strikes aimed at both local populations and international interests.

As to online reports, the historic military breakthrough was disclosed directly by the American president via his official social media platform on Saturday.
“Tonight, at my direction, brave American forces and the Armed Forces of Nigeria flawlessly executed a meticulously planned and very complex mission to eliminate the most active terrorist in the world from the battlefield,” Trump stated.
“Abu-Bilal al-Minuki, second in command of ISIS globally, thought he could hide in Africa, but little did he know we had sources who kept us informed on what he was doing.”
Defense analysts suggest that the sudden removal of such a high-tier leader will severely fracture the communication chains, tactical execution, and financial structures of ISIS operations across West Africa and the globe.
“He will no longer terrorize the people of Africa, or help plan operations to target Americans," Trump added. "With his removal, ISIS’s global operation is greatly diminished. Thank you to the Government of Nigeria for your partnership on this operation.”
