The Joint Task Force (North East), Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), has reported significant milestones in the ongoing fight against insurgency with the arrest of suspected terrorists and high-value informants.
Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, the Media Information Officer, confirmed that coordinated operations across Yobe, Adamawa, and Borno states have led to the disruption of several terrorist logistics networks.
In a key breakthrough, troops at Ngamdu Market arrested 30-year-old Ali Muhammad, a suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP informant who had been on the military's watchlist.
Muhammad was found with a ledger containing terrorist contacts and various identification cards. Additionally, two suspects who fled from Zamfara to Yobe—Haruna and Ibrahim Adamu—were apprehended with illicit substances and charms.
In Adamawa State, a joint operation with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) led to the rescue of two kidnapped children, Barnabas and Ruth Apagu, aged 12 and 10, respectively.
According to Qubes Magazine, the recovery of a hand grenade in Kukareta and the arrest of five drug peddlers with ammunition in Mubi further highlight the military's multi-pronged approach to restoring stability.
The Military High Command has praised the gallantry of the troops while urging the public to maintain a steady flow of credible information to sustain this momentum.
