Ousmane Dembele Vows PSG Will "Go for the Kill" Against Chelsea in UCL Second Leg

Paris Saint-Germain star and Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembele has warned Chelsea that the Champions League holders will show no mercy in Tuesday’s last-16 second-leg clash.

Despite holding a massive 5-2 lead from the first leg in Paris, the France international insists that PSG will not adopt a defensive strategy at Stamford Bridge.

Speaking to reporters on Monday, Dembele emphasized that the team is focused on winning the away leg outright rather than simply protecting their three-goal cushion.

“Our mentality is to win. We cannot just remain defensive. We need to win... Our mentality will not change – we came here to win,” Dembele stated.

PSG manager Luis Enrique echoed this sentiment, referencing a "scare" the team received last season against Aston Villa.

In that instance, PSG nearly squandered a four-goal lead, eventually surviving a tense 5-1 aggregate fightback from Unai Emery’s side.

Enrique noted that the Villa match serves as a "clear example" of how quickly a football match can change if pace and control are lost.

The PSG boss also dismissed the recent controversy surrounding Chelsea’s pre-match huddle, which sparked debates over respect following the Blues' defeat to Newcastle.

Enrique noted he has respect for Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior and is focusing purely on the tactical battle ahead.

PSG enters the match as favorites to reach the quarter-finals, but they remain wary of a Chelsea side desperate for a European miracle.
