Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has revealed a surprising chapter from her youth, disclosing that she nearly became a pastor at the age of 19 but "ran away" from the divine calling. She shared this during a viral livestream interview following her recent reconciliation with ex-husband, Olakunle Churchill.
The mother of one stated that she has felt a spiritual calling since childhood and was deeply involved in church activities from a young age. "I have always had this calling right from when I was a child. At 19, I was going to be a pastor until I just ran away for no reason," Dikeh revealed.
She attributed her survival through numerous personal trials to her faith, suggesting her life's challenges were part of a divine preparation. "If you watch what has happened in my life, it’s not ordinary. Anybody who may have or may walk in my shoes may not have survived... Because God called me for something and He needed me to go through all of these things," she explained.
Dikeh identified her specific calling as being in the areas of prayer and healing. She hinted at potentially launching an online prayer ministry, pending divine instruction. "Prayers and healing are my calling... God asked me to start praying for people online, and that’s what I’m doing. He’s the one taking me day by day. I’m just a vessel," she said.
The actress emphasized that her renewed commitment to faith is not driven by fame or money, but by a desire to fulfill her purpose and live a guided life.
