LOS ANGELES — After a rollercoaster season filled with emotional twists, breakups, and surprise exits, Love Island USA Season 7 has officially crowned its winning couple — and it wasn’t the pair fans expected from the beginning.
In a dramatic season finale on Sunday night, Amaya Espinal, 25, and Bryan Arenales, 28, emerged as winners following a public vote. Their victory capped off a fiery season that began on June 3, with the Peacock reality show maintaining a top spot in streaming charts throughout the summer.
According to AP News, the duo, who connected late in the season, quickly gained fan admiration through their heartfelt bond and shared Latino heritage. Espinal hails from New York City with Dominican roots, while Arenales brings Puerto Rican and Guatemalan descent into the mix.
In a touching speech before the results were revealed, Bryan emotionally said, “You said I was the water to your fire, but you are my peace to this madness.” That moment sealed the couple’s popularity, ultimately winning the hearts of America.
As per Love Island tradition, the couple faced one final twist: one partner would receive a $100,000 prize envelope, while the other would receive nothing. Bryan picked the winning envelope — and in a heartfelt gesture, chose to split the prize evenly with Amaya.
Runners-up were Olandria Carthen and Nicolas Vansteenberghe, while Huda Mustafa and Chris Seeley placed third after a tearful breakup in the finale. Iris Kendall and Jose “Pepe” Garcia-Gonzalez came fourth.
Host Ariana Madix revealed that the Season 7 cast will reunite for a special reunion episode, airing on Peacock August 25 — giving fans one more chance to see their favorite Islanders.
