Tears in Enugu as Promising Nigerian Dies Mysteriously in Indian Hospital

Agbo Onyeka Nigerian dies in Indian hospital

Grief has enveloped the Uguru community in Nsukka, Enugu State, following the sudden and tragic death of a young Nigerian, Agbo Onyeka, popularly known as “Sky,” in India.

According to reports circulating on social media, Onyeka passed away at a hospital in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, under unclear circumstances. A disturbing video shared on Facebook showed the young man lying motionless on a hospital bed, soaked and unresponsive, while a distressed voice repeatedly cried out his nickname.

This heartbreaking incident mirrors a similar tragedy from 2018, when Austine Osas, another Nigerian, was found dead in his apartment in the same Indian region.

Social media has been flooded with tributes. One Facebook user, Sen Chijinkem Ugwuanyi, revealed that Onyeka died weeks earlier and that his remains were being flown back to Nigeria. Another user, Luke Elder, stated that Onyeka’s family initially withheld the news from his parents because he was their main source of support.

“Life is terrifyingly fragile,” a friend named Ernest posted. “We lost a promising and good-hearted young man.”

Others joined in mourning, with Obayi Chika and Peace Maker expressing sorrow, while his sister, Chiamaka, condemned the viral posts, calling them insensitive.

This tragic loss has sparked emotional reflection and renewed concerns over the safety and welfare of Nigerians abroad.
