Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has taken to social media to plead for the release of popular internet personality VeryDarkMan, who was recently arrested outside a GTBank branch.
In an emotional video shared via X (formerly Twitter), Portable appealed directly to the EFCC and GTBank, asking them to release his friend. He described VeryDarkMan as a kind-hearted individual known for distributing food and helping the less privileged.

Though Portable admitted that they often disagree, he stressed that VeryDarkMan’s generosity should not be overlooked. “He helps people. He gives food to the needy. Please, because of God, free him,” Portable said in his plea.
The arrest has left many Nigerians puzzled, as the reason for his detention remains unknown. However, speculation is mounting that it may be connected to his recent visit to the bank.
Portable also cautioned Nigerians against withdrawing their funds from GTBank, urging citizens not to boycott the institution. The video has since gone viral, sparking mixed reactions from fans and critics alike.
As the controversy unfolds, Nigerians await an official statement from the EFCC and GTBank regarding the incident.
