Nigerian troops have scored a major victory against terrorism in Zamfara, neutralizing five notorious bandit leaders and recovering an arsenal of heavy weapons during operations in Talata-Mafara and Kaura-Namoda LGAs.

The 1 Brigade Nigerian Army confirmed the elimination of Auta Jijji, Dankali, Sagidi, Kachallah Rijaji, and Kachallah Suza - key figures in the region's banditry network. Soldiers engaged the criminals in a fierce gun battle after they attacked Mai Kwanugga village, burning houses and terrorizing residents.
