In a bold move to curb rampant examination fraud, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has launched a decoy website designed to trap unsuspecting fraudsters ahead of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The innovative strategy aims to combat the sale of fake results, illegal admission schemes, and other cybercrimes targeting desperate candidates. JAMB’s Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, revealed that the fake portal mimics the official JAMB site, luring fraudsters into revealing their identities before law enforcement agencies swoop in.

"This is a proactive measure to protect the integrity of our exams," Oloyede stated. "We will not tolerate any form of malpractice."

Parents and students are warned to only use JAMB’s verified platforms to avoid falling victim to scams. With millions of candidates set to sit for the UTME, this high-tech crackdown could be a game-changer in Nigeria’s education sector.
