Nigerian football star Victor Boniface has openly criticized the unfair treatment faced by the Super Eagles during their visit to Libya.

The team experienced a 13-hour delay at Al-Abaq Airport on October 13, 2024, with no food, WiFi, or proper rest accommodations provided.

Boniface expressed his frustration on X (formerly Twitter), writing: “Been at the airport for almost 13 hours… no food, no WiFi, nowhere to sleep. African, we can do better.”

This incident reportedly stems from Libyan players' complaints about their treatment during a recent visit to Nigeria, where the Super Eagles secured a 1-0 victory in a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

Boniface’s post highlights ongoing issues in African football regarding the treatment of teams during international competitions.

He calls for better hospitality, respect, and cooperation among African nations to improve the overall experience for players and officials.
