Billionaire businessman Femi Otedola has praised Aliko Dangote for starting operations at the Dangote Refinery, a major step towards Nigeria's economic independence. 

In a post on social media, Otedola highlighted how the new refinery could diminish the relevance of local depots that rely on fuel imports, urging depot owners to sell their facilities as scrap before the market shifts. 

The Dangote Refinery, capable of processing 650,000 barrels of oil per day, has completed its testing phase and is set to deliver its first shipment of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS).
