A lawsuit has been filed against the Lagos State Government over Aliko Dangote’s $100 million payment for land at the Lekki Free Trade Zone.

The suit, filed by local groups De Renaissance Patriots Foundation and Ibeju-Lekki Peoples Forum, questions the transparency of the deal, demanding full disclosure of how the funds were used and the lack of public communication.
The plaintiffs argue that if the claim is true, the government must provide a detailed account of the transaction, as local communities demand accountability.
