Hoodlums Torch Redeemed Christian Church in Niger State: Government Condemns Attack

Hoodlums have set fire to the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Kontagora, Niger State, marking the second time the church has been targeted in ten years.

The attack occurred in the early hours of Saturday, with the assailants also looting the church's property.

 Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago condemned the attack, calling it a cowardly act that threatens the peace and unity of the region. 

He has ordered a thorough investigation and promised that the perpetrators will be brought to justice. The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has also condemned the incident, urging the government to protect religious institutions.
