Blessing Oborodudu Falls Short in Paris 2024 Wrestling Semi-Finals

Nigerian wrestler Blessing Oborodudu failed to secure a place in the final of the women’s 68kg wrestling at the Paris 2024 Olympics, losing to Kyrgyzstan’s Meerim Zhumanazarova 3-1 on points. 

An injury affected Oborodudu's performance, and she will now compete for a bronze medal on Tuesday.

The 35-year-old wrestler won her two previous bouts on Monday against Canadian and French opponents. 

She had previously won a silver medal in the same event at the Tokyo Olympics three years ago.
