A 30-year-old tailor, Busayo Owoodun, was allegedly killed by a stray bullet around 2.55pm on Saturday when police opened fire after they were attacked by hoodlums in Ijekun, Lagos.
The Anti-Kidnapping Squad attached to ‘M’ Command, Idimu, were said to be on the trail of some kidnap suspects when the hoodlums allegedly attacked them along Ijegun-Isolo road.
Sources said three officers including an Assistant Superintendent of Police were injured by the hoodlums.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Bala Elkana, said the Commissioner of Police, Muazu Zubairu, had order investigation into the incident.
He added that the CP had condoled with Owoodun’s family.
