Unveiled at the Infrastructure Conference (INFRACON 2026) at the Afrexim Tower in Abuja, the funding scheme was established in partnership with Germany-based commercial banking institution ODDO BHF SE to provide Nigerian companies with access to patient, long-term capital at single-digit interest rates.
Key details driving public and corporate interest in the loan application include:
- Package Structure: Eligible companies can access minimum financing packages starting at $10 million with a long-term repayment tenure of at least 7.5 years.
- Equipment Procurement: Beneficiaries must commit between 35% and 50% of the loan toward procuring machinery, equipment, and technology from European suppliers, with the remaining capital deployable locally.
Target Sectors: Funding is prioritized for manufacturing (excluding defense), agro-allied processing, energy, logistics, and mineral beneficiation, while 20% ($30 million) of the total facility is explicitly reserved for digital economy and ICT ventures.
Eligibility & Digital Portal: Applicants must be verified financial members of recognized private-sector bodies (NACCIMA, MAN, NASME, or NASSI), show 3 years of audited financials, and pass automated ESG and KYC checks on the dedicated encryption portal.
