The Nasarawa State Police Command has launched an extensive tactical manhunt following the abduction of three 100-level students from the Federal University of Lafia.
The victims were reportedly abducted by armed gunmen from their off-campus residence, Sure Leaders Lodge, situated in the Bukan Kwato area near the university campus.
Confirming the incident, State Police Public Relations Officer SP Ramhan Nansel stated that covert operations are currently underway to secure the safe, unharmed release of the students.

Nansel revealed that investigators have already penciled down primary suspects linked to the kidnapping and are awaiting operational confirmation before taking decisive action.
The abduction has sparked growing anxiety among students and parents, with off-campus residents appealing to government authorities to increase security patrols around student residential clusters in Lafia.
While official university management statements are pending, campus security sources confirmed heightened surveillance efforts across the area.
