The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has made a massive breakthrough in its anti-narcotics campaign, uncovering a stash house in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, containing cannabis valued at over ₦5.8 billion.
During the raid on Friday, May 8, 2026, operatives recovered 4,000 parcels of "Loud," a potent imported strain of cannabis, weighing 2,326 kilograms.
In a separate string of operations, the agency arrested three persons with disabilities (PWDs) for alleged drug trafficking.

Among them was 60-year-old Romanus Nwabara, caught in Onitsha with retail sachets of skunk, and Usman Salisu, intercepted in Kwara State with 6.3kg of the drug concealed in a school bag.
According to Qubes Magazine, NDLEA Chairman Mohamed Buba Marwa commended the Special Operations Unit for the high-value seizures, which also included two Mercedes-Benz buses used for distribution.
Marwa reiterated the agency’s commitment to dismantling drug cartels across the country, regardless of the suspects' physical status.
