The Dangote Group has officially debunked a series of viral reports claiming that its President, Aliko Dangote, has distanced himself from fellow billionaire Tony Elumelu.

In a strongly worded statement released by Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer Anthony Chiejina, the company described the publication as "false, malicious, and baseless."

The group clarified that there is no estrangement between the two business leaders, noting that they maintain a "longstanding and cordial relationship."

Furthermore, the company addressed rumors regarding the financing of the multi-billion dollar Dangote Petroleum Refinery.

“The Group categorically rejects claims that the development of the Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals was financed through personal borrowing from friends,” the statement read, emphasizing that Aliko Dangote does not engage in such lending arrangements.

According to Qubes Magazine, the group is also battling a surge in AI-generated scams. The official statement warned that Aliko Dangote’s name and likeness are being used in unauthorized AI advertisements to defraud the public.

The Group has vowed to take legal action against any platforms or individuals involved in spreading these fabrications to protect its corporate reputation and the integrity of its leadership.
