In a dramatic escalation of military operations, the Nigerian Armed Forces have launched intensive land and air assaults on terrorist bases across key northern states. This surge in action comes amidst a stark warning from former United States President Donald Trump, who threatened potential U.S. military intervention in Nigeria.
According to a report by The PUNCH, Trump, in a post on his Truth Social platform, issued a severe threat to the Nigerian government. He stated he had instructed the U.S. Department of War to prepare for "possible action" if the alleged persecution of Christians continues, vowing to stop all aid and potentially go in "guns-a-blazing."

He wrote, “If the Nigerian government continues to allow the killing of Christians, the U.S.A. will immediately stop all aid and assistance to Nigeria, and may very well go into that now-disgraced country, ‘guns-a-blazing,’ to completely wipe out the Islamic terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities. I am hereby instructing our Department of War to prepare for possible action.”
