Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, has accused media personality Dele Momodu of financially motivated support for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar. In a recent statement, Olayinka alleged that Momodu’s allegiance to Atiku is driven by monetary benefits, suggesting that his loyalty would wane if the financial incentives ceased.

Olayinka criticized Momodu’s comments regarding Wike’s role in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), particularly concerning the departure of Peter Obi. He also questioned Atiku’s commitment to the PDP, citing instances where Atiku’s actions allegedly undermined the party’s efforts, including the 2003 Lagos State elections.

The aide further challenged claims that Atiku supported zoning the PDP presidential ticket to the Southeast in 2023, pointing out that Atiku had already declared his candidacy before any formal zoning decision. Olayinka’s remarks highlight ongoing tensions within the PDP and raise questions about internal dynamics and allegiances.
