The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results, revealing that over 1.5 million candidates scored below 200 out of 400. Out of 1,955,069 candidates, only 420,415 achieved scores above 200, while less than 1% surpassed the 300 mark.

Additionally, 40,247 underage candidates participated, with only 467 (1.16%) meeting the threshold for exceptional ability. JAMB also reported 97 cases of examination infractions and 2,157 candidates under investigation for suspected malpractices. Furthermore, 71,701 candidates were absent, and those facing biometric challenges are under review for rescheduling.

A press conference to announce individual results and facilitate result checking is scheduled for later this week.
