Selfish Interests Will Destroy PDP Before 2027 – Wike Drops Bombshell Warning

Nyesom Wike warns PDP may collapse before 2027 elections

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has issued a strong warning that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) may collapse before the 2027 general elections if internal divisions and selfish interests persist.

According to reports, Wike made these explosive statements during his monthly media chat in Abuja, where he criticized the party’s leadership for failing to unite members and prevent defections.

Wike defended former Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC), calling it a political strategy rather than betrayal. He also slammed the PDP’s Board of Trustees (BoT) Chairman for endorsing Labour Party’s Alex Otti in Abia State, questioning the party’s silence on the matter. “How can PDP win 2027 when its leaders are divided?” Wike asked.

The former Rivers State governor accused the PDP of targeting him instead of focusing on rebuilding the party. He challenged other governors to match his past electoral contributions, warning that excluding loyal members would backfire. “If PDP repeats its 2023 mistakes, it will fail again,” he declared.
