Kaduna Polytechnic has expelled 63 students and suspended 36 others for examination malpractice and fraudulent admissions. The decision was ratified at the institution’s 114th Academic Board Meeting after investigations by two disciplinary committees.

A circular signed by Deputy Registrar Abdullahi Muhammad named offenders, including Essien Margret Lawrence and Maryam Nasir, who secured admissions illegally. Mass Communication, Civil Engineering, and Architecture students were among those expelled for exam fraud.
“The Polytechnic maintains zero tolerance for misconduct,” the statement read. While some students like Abubakar Ibrahim Ashir were cleared, others face suspensions ranging from one to four semesters.

The institution warned that stricter measures will be enforced to uphold academic integrity.
