Fake Q-net University Scam: EFCC Arrests Trio for ₦100M Fraud – Shocking Details

EFCC arrests Q-net fraud suspects in Abuja fake degree scam

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has uncovered a massive fraud scheme involving a fake university and a Q-net-linked scam, arresting three suspects in Abuja.

The suspects—Olaniyan Joshua, Oyetunde Julius Akano, and Victor Oluwale—allegedly operated under Mighty Infinity Millionaire Limited, falsely representing Q-net. The EFCC revealed they also ran Q-net University, offering fake degrees in Medicine, Nursing, Cybersecurity, and more.

Shockingly, classes were held under trees and pavilions, with students paying ₦1.2M–₦1.3M for worthless certificates. The syndicate falsely claimed ties to Malaysia’s Quest International University, which has denied any affiliation.

The EFCC raided the fake university in Gwagwalada earlier, detaining 133 suspects. Investigations continue, with more charges expected.
