Eyewitnesses reported that an angry crowd had already placed a tyre around the man’s neck and were preparing to set him ablaze when police officers on patrol arrived just in time. Midoho Abasi Sampson, who shared the incident online, praised the officers for preventing jungle justice, stating:
“God graciously gave this young man a second chance. The police passed by and intervened. That’s how jungle justice was averted.”
