Nigerian Navy Announces Plans for Shipbuilding Yard to Boost Maritime Security

The Nigerian Navy plans to establish a state-of-the-art shipbuilding yard to enhance maritime security and local manufacturing capacity. 

Rear Admiral Saidu Garba, Chief of Naval Staff, announced the initiative, aimed at reducing reliance on foreign shipbuilders and creating job opportunities.

The shipyard, set to be operational by 2025, will focus on building and maintaining naval and commercial vessels, contributing to Nigeria's economic growth and maritime defense capabilities.
