How Taylor Swift Inspires the U.S. Women's Water Polo Team

Taylor Swift's influence extends beyond music, reaching Olympic athletes. The USA women's water polo team draws inspiration from the singer, especially after attending her Eras Tour concert in Paris. 

Team star Maggie Steffens and coach Adam Krikorian saw Swift's energy as a model for their own performance goals at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics, where they aim for their fourth consecutive gold medal.

During their Olympic test in May, the team secured tickets to Swift's concert at La Défense Arena, the same venue for the upcoming Olympic water polo tournaments. Thanks to team manager Ally Beck, they even got backstage access, VIP tickets, and Eras Tour merchandise from Swift's team.

Steffens shared, "We talked about it after [the concert]. We had a team meeting of, like, if we get the chance to play in La Défense Arena, we want to be like her. We want to be able to love the pressure and be able to perform and have fun and enjoy that moment and make the most of it."
