By Emmanuel Oyebade
The vice president of the federation, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has laid to rest the report claiming that he has resigned as the number two citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, tagging it a deliberate propaganda and fake report.
Osinbajo made this clarification at a meeting with Young Christian Leaders in Lagos, during an interactive session tagged: 'Unveiling The Truth', organised by the Christian group, which had some Christian leaders in attendance.
He lamented the rise of fake news in the country, especially as Nigerians prepare for another election.
The vice president made the statement while reacting to claims by the Peoples Democratic Party chieftain, Doyin Okupe, and others that he threatened to resign after he was excluded from a meeting.
Osinbajo however, noted that the reason for his absense at the meeting held in Abuja with the president was because he was too busy in his office attending to pressing issues, while he queried if the president cannot have a meeting without his deputy.
He also reaffirmed his commitment to the Nation and the Buhari-led administration.
He said, "I remain committed to the service of the Nigerian people, under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari."
Meanwhile, participants also siezed the privilege to ask numerous questions bothering on insecurity, economy, blaming of past administrations, social welfare for the unemployed, corruption, and timing of TraderMoni.
