I’m fed up – Kylian Mbappe tells Pogba about PSG



Paris Saint-Germain forward, Kylian Mbappe, has told Manchester United star, Paul Pogba he was ‘fed up’ with life at the French side.

He made the confession when the two players met up on international duty with France this week.


The nature of PSG’s Champions League implosion against Real Madrid in the last 16 created a toxic atmosphere at the club.


PSG were two goals up with time running out in Spain, but Karim Benzema scored a dramatic hat-trick for Real Madrid to set the French side crashing out of the competition.


Lionel Messi and Neymar, among others, were booed in the subsequent league match.

And manager Pochettino said it was ‘difficult to sleep at night’ because things had turned so sour.


Mbappe and Pogba embraced when they saw each other at France’s training base in Clairefontaine ahead of this month’s international friendlies against Ivory Coast and South Africa.


After exchanging pleasantries, Pogba then asked Mbappe how things were going at his club.


The 23-year-old leaned in to try and avoid the nearby cameras picking up their conversation and whispered, “I’m a little fed up” n French, according to Metro. Dailypost

EPL: Pogba snubs C Ronaldo, Messi, as he names best finisher he’s ever seen




Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba, has named club teammate, Mason Greenwood as the best finisher he’s ever played with.

England youngster, Greenwood has scored three out of three matches United have played so far in the new season.

He scored against Leeds United, Southampton and away at Wolves on Sunday.
But the return of Cristiano Ronaldo to the club after 12 years; return of Marcus Rashford from injury and the signing of Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund will see the youngster struggle to keep his place.

However, Pogba believes Greenwood will succeed at Old Trafford, describing the youngster as ‘unbelievable.’

“Mason I think he’s more left footed, he dribbles more with his left but to shoot he shoots with both,” Pogba told Stadium Astro.

“His finishing is unreal, he’s the best finisher I’ve seen, trained with. He’s the youngest but he’s just unbelievable and I hope he score more goals and improve and win titles.

“He’s very young and very talented and I want to push him even better.” Dailypost

Real Sociedad vs Man United: Ole Solskjaer gives fresh injury update on Pogba




Manchester United boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has provided the latest injury update on midfielder, Paul Pogba, ahead of his side’s Europa League clash with Real Sociedad on Thursday night.

Pogba has not played for Man United since limping out of the 3-3 draw with Everton on February 6 with a thigh injury.

The France World Cup winner also missed last week’s FA Cup win over West Ham and Sunday’s draw with West Brom.

Providing an update on Pogba, Solskjaer said at his pre-match press conference that the former Juventus star would not return to action until March at the earliest.

“Paul is recovering well,” Solskjaer told reporters.

“He’s starting the treatment, but it will still be a few weeks. He won’t be playing in February, that’s for sure, it’s still a few weeks before we see Paul definitely.

Pogba ‘more desperate than ever’ to leave Manchester United -Report findings

Paul Pogba has once again been presented as ‘more desperate than ever’ to leave Manchester United next year, according to a report.

The Frenchman admitted publicly over the summer that he was desperate for a “new challenge” elsewhere following a frustrating 2018-19 campaign at Old Trafford.

Real Madrid were reportedly interested in signing Pogba, but United refused to budge on their £160m valuation of the midfielder.

According to Neil Custis from The Sun, the 26-year-old has made his mind up about seeking a move away over the January transfer window.

Pogba’s contract expires in 2021, which means that he could leave for a cheaper price should he wait until next summer to launch a fresh push for the Bernabeu.

The report, which obviously contains more inside information on the Pogba camp than it would be possible for any media outlet to actually procure, states that Solskjaer convinced Pogba to stay over the summer by promising him a central role in the team (maybe true), only for the midfielder to grow exasperated at United’s start to the 2019-20 campaign and resolve to depart in January (probably not true).

What is true, however, is that Pogba will attract a strong bid from Madrid next summer, and you suspect that his head will be turned.(Thepeoplesperson)

EPL: Pogba compared to Ozil

Former Manchester United star, Eric Djemba-Djemba has defended Midfielder Paul Pogba by comparing him with Arsenal playmaker, Mesut Ozil.

Pogba has sometimes been criticised by football pundits over his playing style and perceived lack of effort on the pitch during Man United’s games.

The France World Cup winner also suffered racist abuses after missing his spot-kick in Man United’s 1-1 draw with Wolves in the Premier League last Monday.

But Djemba-Djemba now believes that it is “crazy” to suggest that the former Juventus star is not trying for United, adding that the 26-year-old’s plight is like that of Ozil at Arsenal.

“Pogba has his style and he can’t do anything about that, he has always played like that since he played back in Italy,” Djemba-Djemba told American Gambler.

“But English football is different; you need to work hard, tackle and more. Italian football is more tactical, but you need to be box-to-box in England, tackle and work hard.

“If you watched [Wayne] Rooney playing as a striker, he would still come back and tackle hard.

“Pogba has his style and he is a very good player. When you put Paul Pogba in the right position and he has the confidence, he is absolutely amazing.

“It’s like Arsenal fans with Mesut Ozil. They think he is not trying but of course he is trying. It’s crazy!” (Sportishnews)

Rashford, Martial, Lukaku and Pogba are threats to Barca – Solskjaer reveals


Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has revealed that his attacking players, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Romelu Lukaku and Paul Pogba are all frightening to Barcelona should his team visit Camp Nou in their Champions League second quarter final tie.

United are looking to overturn a 1-0 deficit from the first leg at Old Trafford last week.
Solskjaer insists the Spanish giants will be wary of facing Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Romelu Lukaku and Paul Pogba with a place in the Champions League semi-finals on the line Tuesday.

“You look at the quality of those players and that gives us a threat.

“We carry a goal threat and of course what we did against PSG as a team must give everyone a huge confidence boost.

“We will use the PSG [match], we will use the Juventus away.


“We have beaten some good teams away from home this year, and played against some great players,” the Norwegian told a press conference on Monday.

Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane, has revealed that the reason he has a soft spot for Paul Pogba is because he knows him on a personal level and that he is truly a different player.
Zidane while speaking at a news conference Saturday ahead of Sunday’s home game against Huesca, described his compatriot as a “different” player.
He said, “I like him a lot – that is nothing new.

Pogba reveals he would love to play for Real Madrid under Zidane

Sensational Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba, has said that he is currently happy at his current club, but wouldn’t mind playing for Real Madrid later on in his career.

Since Zinedine Zidane returned to the Bernabeu, there has been speculation about the transfers Madrid are looking to make in the summer.

The Spanish giants are expected to spend heavily on revamping their squad and are likely to sign at least one “Galactico.”

Zidane himself is a long-time admirer of Pogba, who could inject new blood in a midfield that currently has the underperforming Luka Modric and Toni Kroos.

Pogba, Matic and Fred responsible for Man United’s 2-0 defeat to Arsenal – Graeme
Liverpool legend, Graeme Souness, has said that Manchester United huffed and puffed for most of the period in the game which saw Arsenal sailed 2-0 against the Red Devils.
Souness has revealed that United’s midfielders, Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic and Fred are to blame for the poor Premier League show on Sunday.
Goals from Granit Xhaka and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang gave Unai Emery’s men all three points against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Souness said: “United huffed and puffed for a lot of that game. It wasn’t the United we have seen in recent weeks.
“I think the largest reason, the biggest reason why they didn’t start well was their midfield.
“I think their midfield were way off the pace: [Nemanja] Matic, Fred, and Pogba. You would have enjoyed playing against their midfield today because they didn’t get near anyone.”
